Fashion has always been a source of empowerment and positivity in my life, especially on days when I'm feeling down due to my epilepsy medication. Some days, the side effects can leave me feeling drained and unmotivated, but the moment I put on clothes that I love, everything changes.
There are days when the side effects of my medication make me feel sluggish and foggy-headed. It can be challenging to find the energy to get dressed, let alone put together a stylish outfit. But I've found that the simple act of choosing an outfit that I feel good in can make a world of difference in my mood and attitude. For example, there was a day when I woke up feeling particularly low. The side effects of my medication were weighing me down, and I didn't feel like doing much of anything. But instead of succumbing to those feelings, I decided to put on a bright, colorful dress that always lifts my spirits. As soon as I slipped it on, I felt a shift in my mood. The vibrant colors and flattering fit instantly lifted my spirits and gave me a much-needed boost of confidence. Another example is when I have to attend a social event or a meeting on a day when I'm not feeling my best. In those situations, choosing an outfit that makes me feel confident and put-together helps me to project a positive image and feel more capable, despite how I may be feeling on the inside. Fashion has a way of transforming not just how I look, but also how I feel. It's a form of self-care that allows me to take control of my mood and attitude, even on tough days. So, whether I'm feeling great or struggling with my epilepsy medication, I know that fashion will always be there to lift me up and make me feel good about myself.
