Getting What You Need

Picture
Sometimes we don't get what we want. Instead, we get what we need. If things don't workout as you planned & they never do!😩 Just recently, nothing was working in my favor. I had to pause for a moment and ask God-what is this lesson you are trying to teach me? My bestie wasn't available to help me solve this problem. Therefore, I had to solve this by myself. Oh did I mention, I over analyze everything. I do pros & cons list, I journal.. I just do too much!

So I had two different situations going on, with two different people. I just wasn't communicating effectively. You know the way we communicate when we're upset. So passive aggressively. Ignoring texts or delaying a text message.

The best way to get what you need is:
  1. Define everyone’s needs
  2. Brainstorm solutions
  3. Evaluate the solutions
  4. Decide on final solutions
  5. Implement solutions
  6. Evaluate solutions
Now, relationships... Are a constant effort. And if one person is doing the work.. Is it worth your time?

😑😩 Moral of the story! Don't waste your energy. Just take stuff at face value & don't read too deep. Nnnooo!! Ask the questions that need to be asked & be deep. Taking things at face value could be a lie and you just taking someone's word. It took me a minute to finish this post because I was trying to take someone at face value. But...A lot of stuff wasn't lining up with the words. Polite people can be the easiest manipulators. Face value is what you see/what you get. Scratching the surface and going to your needs and what is needed of you. Sometimes you have to release people for yourself.
