Different Seizure Triggers & Self-Care
You're only as strong as you think you are. And I think I am pretty strong. So y'all, I have my good days and I have my bad days. It really just depends. Just a few days ago, I felt a bit overwhelmed. However, I ignored the signs and kept going on with my day-I had stuff to do.
I had a to-do list that I needed to complete, blog post to write, pictures to take, emails to send, and keep going. I literally had so much to do that I couldn't afford to loose a day because of how I almost felt. So as I went on with my day, I got everything done.
I crossed everything off that entire that. Just being so focused on each task, at each moment. I managed to complete my to-do list by 9 p.m. that night. Now, as I am walking down the hallway, I start feeling dizzy. I was not up for the fight with the dizzy spell today.
So I laid down and it would not leave. Just so y'all know, in this case, I usually wait until the feeling leaves. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. It truly depend. I got up the very next morning around 4 a.m. feeling tired, like I had had a seizure. But I still had things to do, so I kept going.
By mid-day, I started feeling dizzy and yup it wouldn't go away. Even though, I kept going, I didn't listen to my body until my body made me. If I would have listened to my body from the beginning, it would have been easier on me.
My seizures are from lack of sleep and stress. Whether its good stress or bad stress-my body just knows it's stress. lol.
But for others, it is variety of things. I looked on www.epilepsy.com which list all the triggers you can have.
