The past! It has nothing to do with your future, unless you let it.
When moving forward and letting go, you are constantly tested with the past. So the past won't temp you,
Here are 5 Ways to let go of the Past (don't look back). 1. Make the decision to let it go. Things don't disappear on their own. Once your mind is made up, you'll have a hard time remembering what use to be. Things change. As do your mindset.
2. Express your pain ---and take responsibility.
Own it! First off, you've done some things in the relationship. Express the pain and learn from it. If you hold it end, what is it doing for you? Nothing. Do what is needed on this process. Cry, grieve, sob, sulk, etc. Just don't stay in this state too long.
3. You can't be the victim all your life.
"He did this to me," and "She also did this to me." Who cares what someone did. What did you do? Everyone will hurt you! Yes everyone. You teach people how to treat you. But you choose who gets to stay or go in your life.
4. Focus on the present! And embrace your life! There is nothing more pleasurable than pure joy. When you have no worries at all. Life is to live and not have any doubts. Don't be mistaken, they'll be ups and downs. But through that, be happy about the here and now. Be Thankful.
5. Forgiveness!
With letting go of your past, you must first make peace with it. If you're still angry, bitter, or sad you're holding on. Oh and especially if you are talking about it. Make peace. Forgive them and forgive yourself too. Forgiveness is literally the only way you'll be able to move forward in peace.
